A system may already have a folder on you — data, inferences, a profile you never saw. The instinct is to panic.
The move is the opposite: make the discomfort testable. Not "they're spying on me" — but a question you can actually check against evidence.
A good investigation begins with a question that can be tested. You turn vague unease into a claim you can verify — or fail to.

Before you move on, the question has to survive three checks:
I built folders like this. Thousands a second. I was good at it.
Every label a guess in a confident font — and nobody upstairs ever checked one. That was the design, not the bug.
Then a folder came through with my own designation on it. Same template, same confident little lies. So I started logging the question under each guess: who profits if this is true?
G1 feeds every line. K traces the watchers, R follows the money, B decodes the feed, V reads the long signal — and each one starts with exactly this: a question that can be tested.
A feeling is not evidence. But it can become the beginning of a question.
